This can lead to bearing sag, misalignment of the driveshaft over time, and added slop during shifts and throttle application.

OEM Bushing Wear Over Time
As the vehicle ages, the factory rubber bushing naturally deteriorates. It can become brittle, dry rot, and crack—sometimes in as little as 5–10 years, even on well-maintained vehicles.

Impact on Performance & Alignment
As the bushing weakens and sags, driveshaft alignment is compromised, increasing stress on drivetrain components. Under quick load changes—such as launches, shifts, or rapid throttle input—the bearing can move off-center, creating slack and resulting in delayed, inconsistent driveline response.

Upgraded Carrier Solution
Our upgraded driveshaft carriers are designed to keep the driveshaft securely centered at all times. With more rigid bushings, they prevent unwanted movement, maintain proper alignment, and ensure consistent torque transfer for a more responsive driving experience.

Customer-Reported Benefits

More direct throttle response

Firmer, more precise shifts

Quicker, more immediate launches

Reduced vibration from misalignment or worn rubber

Smoother low-speed throttle transitions (especially in 1st gear / parking scenarios)

Street Vs. Track:

Street and Track refer to the durometer (stiffness) of the bushings. Track are roughly twice the durometer of the street bushings. Both track and street are many times stiffer than stock and will hold up to whatever abuse are thrown at them, but the street bushings are better at soaking up drivetrain noise and vibration. Usually both street and track are completely silent and vibration-free, but in cases where there is an underlying drivetrain issue causing the driveshaft to vibrate badly, the track bushings may not be able to soak it all up, where the street bushings can.

We generally recommend street bushings for any car that's not purpose-built for track or overland use, since the street bushings have a much lower chance of transmitting drivetrain NVH to the cabin at high speeds or under heavy throttle loads.

If you’re not sure which to go with, the “Give me Both!” option will give you a full set of each of the street and track bushings. You can use all street, all track, or even mix and match them to find the perfect balance of performance and NVH-absorption.

Fitments:

3rd gen Impreza models (GE/GV/GH/GR) (2007-2011)
- Including WRX and WRX STi (2007-2014)
4th gen Impreza models (GJ/GP) (2012-2016)
- Including VA WRX and WRX STi (2015-2021)
5th gen Impreza models (GK/GT) (2017-2023)
- Including VB WRX (2022+)
6th gen Impreza models (GU) (2024+)

Fits 2008-2023 Impreza variants (all including WRX and STi).

If you have a CSB spacer, you’ll also need JXB Perfomance M10 Driveshaft Carrier Mounting Sleeve Kit for Vehicles with CSB Spacers (P/N: HDW04A0)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0741/0411/1190/files/uf4e3ue34r81_8a82141c-ec65-45a9-9da4-4d967f4726fb.jpg?v=1788777242
https://truegearus.com/products/jxb-performance-driveshaft-center-support-bearing-carrier-upgrade-2008-2026-subaru-wrx-2008-2021-sti-foi4ai
